Hardscaping in Mallorca
Hardscaping is everything in a garden that stays put: the surfaces you walk on, the walls that hold the ground and the built structures around them. Describe what you want and we pass it to companies on Mallorca that build it.

Stone choice is a climate decision here
Local limestone, marés sandstone and reclaimed material sit at the heart of how Mallorcan gardens look, and they behave differently underfoot. Pale stone stays walkable in August where dark porcelain does not. Marés is warm and soft and it wears, which is either patina or damage depending on where it is laid.
Slip resistance around a pool and heat underfoot on a south terrace are worth more attention than the colour, because those are the two things people notice every single day and cannot change afterwards.
Underneath, the build matters more than the surface. A terrace laid without a proper base and without a fall away from the house looks perfect for two winters and then tells you exactly where the water goes. Where the architecture is modern the tolerances get tighter still, which is what makes a contemporary villa garden cost what it does.

How your request reaches a company
Mallorca Landscapers is a comparison service. A request for hardscaping work goes to the landscaping companies on our list; they quote the work and carry it out, and any agreement is between you and the company you pick.

Describe the job
Tell us the property, roughly what you want and where it is. Photographs and a rough plan help, though neither is required.
-
02
We match it
The request goes to companies that work in your area and take on this kind of job at this size.
-
03
They quote you
Each company contacts you directly with its own price, timing and approach. We do not set any of it.

You compare and choose
Put the quotes side by side and take the one you want, or none of them. Using the site costs you nothing.
The parts people ask for separately
Dry stone and retaining walls
Do I need a licence for paving and walls?
Often yes, especially for anything structural or on rural land. Requirements vary by town hall, so ask the company quoting what your plot needs before work is booked.
Which stone is best around a pool?
Something pale, textured and rated for wet slip. Beyond that it is a question of budget and of what suits the house, and any company quoting should be able to show you finished examples in each material.
Can hardscaping be done in summer?
Yes. Unlike planting, it is not tied to a season, though working through July and August on an occupied property is worth thinking about.
